Introducing one of our current favourite companions for comfort, our exceptional brushed cotton bedding, designed to keep you snug and toasty. Let’s explore why our brushed cotton bedlinen is an ideal addition to any winter bedding collection. Commonly referred to as 'flannelette,' brushed cotton derives its name from the unique manufacturing process it undergoes. This cotton is treated mechanically, where brushes are used to lift and elevate the softest fibres from the yarns. The result is a fuzzier texture that enhances the fabric's softness, making it incredibly warm and inviting. Our sheets and duvet covers are crafted from the highest quality, responsibly sourced 100% cotton yarns, available in both striped and plain weaves. 

Once the coloured yarns reach our skilled partners in Portugal, they initiate the weaving process, forming the distinctive patterns and textures that define our products. Following the weaving stage, the cotton undergoes a final finishing process. Initially, the fabric is washed to enhance its softness and enrich the colours of the dyed yarns. Subsequently, the brushing process commences, resulting in the softest brushed cotton imaginable. This fabric not only looks cosy but also features a wonderfully soft, fleece-like finish that ensures maximum comfort. The underlying principle that makes brushed cotton the ideal choice for winter bedding lies in its brushed finish, which elevates the fluffy fibres and enables them to trap warm air. This characteristic enhances its insulation properties, making it naturally warmer than other cotton fabrics, thus making it perfect for the cold winter months.

Brushed cotton fabric not only boasts a slightly thicker and more durable composition at an ideal weight of 160 grams, but it also maintains exceptional breathability. This added thickness and weight do not compromise comfort; instead, they ensure that air circulation is preserved, allowing for a restful sleep without the discomfort of overheating or the need to constantly adjust your position. Regardless of your personal style, we offer an extensive selection of our warmest bedding options for winter. We believe that laundry should be straightforward, which is why we have designed our brushed cotton bedding to be easy to care for. 

All our sets can be washed at 40 degrees, although we recommend using a gentler cycle, such as the synthetic or wool setting, to preserve the fabric's softness and comfort. To maintain the plush brushed finish, turn the bedding inside out before washing to minimize abrasion and protect the delicate raised fibres. For added softness, hang it to dry in a gentle breeze, if possible, or use a light tumble dry in your machine. The best part? Ironing is not necessary, allowing you to enjoy more time snuggled under your cosy sheets.

How much will postage and packaging cost?

We charge a flat rate of £4.95 for any purchase to be shipped within Mainland Great Britain.

All orders over £100.00 will be delivered free of charge to UK mainland addresses only.

HIGHLANDS AND ISLANDS WILL INCUR AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE.

The factory work off a tolerance of plus or minus 5% due to the nature of the fabrics and processes.

Delivery and Returns

PLEASE NOTE ALL *MADE TO MEASURE* AND *MADE TO ORDER* items cannot be cancelled once placed.

Made to order items cannot be returned unless they are faulty.

If you do cancel your order at any point we will only refund 50% of the value of your order.

Free Delivery is available for all orders and items in the United Kingdom Mainland over £100.00, orders under this value are a flat rate of £4.95.

We also deliver to most European and Worldwide destinations, different shipping rates are applicable for each country.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

We use multiple destinations for our warehousing to reduce cost to our customers.

Our normal delivery times are between 3 and 5 days.

Returns & Refunds

What if I change my mind?

We will accept returns for change of mind provided the return is from an address in Great Britain.

Within 14 days from the date of your receipt of the products and the products have not been used.

All products must be un-used and returned in their original packaging, fit for resale, (including the cardboard folded between the products and all retail packaging).

All returns MUST be notified by email to sales@bedlinendirect.co.uk before sending goods back to us.

All goods are to be returned at the buyer's expense.

WHAT IF A PRODUCT IS FAULTY OR INCORRECTLY DELIVERED?

Bedlinen Direct take extreme care in ensuring our goods are of the highest quality.

However, if for any reason you find that one of our products is faulty, or we have not delivered what you ordered, we would like to help you resolve the problem.

Returns will be accepted for products purchased online if they are faulty or the products delivered do not match your order.

You will need to provide proof of purchase (which may include the invoice, credit card statement or other payment statement) at the time of making the return.

If your item proves to be faulty or delivered incorrectly, we will refund the postage cost up to a maximum of £10.00 for returning the items to us.

WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR RETURNS?

You can register your intention to return by email our sales team at sales@bedlinendirect.co.uk and we will guide you through the process.

Please do not send goods back without informing us first as we use multiple warehouse facilities.

You will need the correct address in order to ensure safe delivery of your returned item.

You will then receive a communication from us when the goods have been received.

All goods are to be returned at the buyer's expense.

Full refund or exchange will be given less any delivery charges all ready incurred subject to this criteria being met.

Please email us in the event that you are dissatisfied with the goods or service you have received.

Will we endeavour to rectify all issues within 24 hours to your total satisfaction (prior to any return of goods).

Bedlinen Direct will ensure all costs associated with returning faulty or incorrectly delivered goods, including delivery costs, is at no expense to you.

WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS WHEN I RETURN AN ITEM BOUGHT FROM BEDLINEN DIRECT?

We provide two return options for faulty or incorrectly delivered products and where our change of mind policy applies.

These are:

On occasion your requested replacement item may have sold out by the time your product is posted and received by us.

If your replacement is not available, a full refund will be processed.

How Long Will It Take To Get a Refund?

Once your goods have been received by Bedlinen Direct, please allow up to 10 working days for your credit to be processed back to your account.

You will receive an email confirming the receipt of your refund.

Who Gets The Refund If We Return a Gift?

The refund on a correctly returned item that was given as a gift will be credited to the original card or account used to purchase the gift.
