Ivory 400 Count Egyptian Cotton Bedding – Soft, Elegant Luxury in a Warm Timeless Shade

If you want bedding that feels luxurious but softer and warmer than bright white, Ivory 400 Count Egyptian Cotton Bedding is a beautiful choice. Ivory has a gentler, more relaxed elegance. It keeps all the freshness of classic luxury bedding, but with a warmer tone that feels softer, calmer and more inviting in the bedroom.

Made from Egyptian cotton sateen, this range combines that timeless ivory finish with the smooth comfort and refined feel of premium cotton. At 400 thread count, it gives you one of the most popular luxury bedding specifications available — soft enough to feel indulgent, practical enough for everyday use, and elegant enough to completely lift the look of your bed.

If you want your bedroom to feel calm, polished and effortlessly luxurious, this range gets it exactly right.

Why Ivory Bedding Feels Softer and More Relaxed

Ivory bedding has a very different mood from crisp white. It still looks clean and refined, but it feels warmer, gentler and more relaxed. That makes it ideal if you want a bedroom that feels luxurious without looking stark or overly bright.

It works beautifully with warm neutrals, soft greys, natural woods, upholstered headboards and classic interiors. It also layers effortlessly with throws, cushions and textured accessories, giving you plenty of styling flexibility while still keeping the bed looking elegant and timeless.

If white feels a little too sharp for your space, ivory is often the perfect answer.

        Made from Egyptian Cotton Sateen

This range is made from Egyptian cotton sateen, giving it a smoother and more elegant finish than many standard cotton alternatives. Egyptian cotton is long associated with better quality bedding, while sateen adds that softer touch and subtle sheen that makes the bed feel more luxurious.

The fabric is woven from extra long staple yarns, helping create the kind of smoothness and comfort you notice straight away. Better yarn quality gives the bedding a finer, softer and more refined finish, which is exactly what you want from a premium range like this.

If you want bedding that looks smart and feels like a genuine step up, this is the sort of fabric that makes it happen.

Why 400 Thread Count Is Such a Reliable Luxury Choice

400 thread count has become one of the most trusted choices in bedding because it gives you that ideal balance between softness, quality and practicality. It feels smoother and more premium than lower thread count bedding, but it still stays breathable and easy to care for.

That is exactly why it works so well for everyday luxury. You get the comfort and finish of premium cotton bedding without making life harder on wash day or ending up with a fabric that feels too heavy.

It is one of those bedding specifications that simply works.

A Full Range That Makes the Bed Feel Properly Dressed

One of the strongest things about this ivory range is that it gives you everything you need to create a properly coordinated bed. Pillowcases, deep fitted sheets, flat sheets and Oxford style duvet covers all work together in the same elegant ivory tone, helping the whole bed look more refined and more complete.

That matters because a beautifully dressed bed is not just about one piece. It is the combination of texture, tone and fit that gives the room that polished, well-finished feel.

Instead of a bed that feels pieced together, you get one that feels calm, cohesive and luxurious.

Oxford Duvet Covers for a More Elegant Finish

This range includes Oxford duvet covers, which help give the bed a smarter and more tailored appearance. That extra border detail adds just enough structure to make the bed feel more luxurious without making it look fussy.

It is one of those small design details that makes a big visual difference once the bed is made. The overall look feels more considered, more premium and more like a beautifully styled hotel bed.

If you want bedding that feels elegant in a quiet, understated way, this is exactly the kind of finish that works.

Choose the Right Fitted Sheet Depth for Your Bed

This range includes 12 inch, 15 inch and 18 inch deep fitted sheets, which makes it especially useful for modern mattresses, toppers and deeper bed setups. A fitted sheet that is the right depth sits better, stays in place and gives the bed a much cleaner overall finish.

If the sheet is too shallow, the whole bed can feel frustrating. It pulls loose, pings off the corners and never quite looks right. When the depth is correct, everything feels neater, more secure and far more comfortable.

It is one of the easiest ways to make the bed feel properly finished.

Softness You Notice Night After Night

Good bedding changes how the bed feels the moment you get into it. This ivory range gives you that smooth, soft and comfortable finish that makes the whole bed feel more inviting. The warmer ivory tone also adds to that softer overall impression, giving the room a more restful and relaxed atmosphere.

You are not just choosing a different colour. You are choosing a bed that feels calmer, gentler and more luxurious every night.

That is exactly what makes quality bedding worth investing in.

Machine Washable and Tumble Dry Safe

Luxury bedding still has to work in real life, and this range does. It is machine washable and tumble dry safe, so you get that premium look and feel without creating extra hassle when it needs washing.

That matters because great bedding should not just look good on day one. It should wash well, feel good going back on the bed and fit easily into everyday living.

This range gives you that balance beautifully.

7 Year Guarantee for Added Confidence

This bedding comes with a 7 year guarantee, giving you that extra reassurance that you are choosing a quality range designed to last. It helps make this feel like a proper bedroom upgrade rather than just another bedding purchase.

When you invest in better bedding, that confidence matters.

Ivory Works Beautifully in So Many Bedrooms

One of the biggest strengths of ivory bedding is how versatile it is. It works beautifully in warm neutral bedrooms, traditional interiors, elegant guest rooms and more decorative master bedrooms. It has enough warmth to soften the space, but still enough freshness to keep the bed looking clean and luxurious.

It is also a brilliant shade if you want the timeless feel of hotel-quality bedding without the brighter, sharper look of white. Ivory feels softer, richer and more relaxed, which makes it especially appealing in bedrooms designed around comfort and calm.

If you want a bed that feels restful as well as luxurious, ivory is a superb choice.

Why buy Egyptian cotton bedding over normal cotton? Its more expensive but is it worth the extra premium you have to fork out just to have the best sheets? Well in short we would say yes, on first inspection there might not be some very noticeable differences, but when you have used them for a short while you will never go back to standard cotton sheets. But what makes them so expensive I hear you ask? Well the very best cotton is grown on the lush banks of the Nile delta in Egypt, the cotton fields are very well established and they are still hand picked to ensure that the cotton buds are not damaged, they are then sorted by size and quality, the very best and larger buds are reserved for the higher thread count sheets as the longer staple fibres are required to make the stronger yarns needed for percale and sateen weaves.

When is comes to weaving, there are two types that are mainly used for plain cotton sheets, pillowcases and duvet covers. Percale is the more well known weave that is mainly now only used for fabrics with a thread count under 300 threads per square inch, this traditional fabric used both the same amount of yarns on the weft and on the warp, for example a 200 thread count fabric would have 100 yarns on the weft and 100 yarns on warp, to make a really high thread count like a 1000 count cotton fabric would be almost commercially impossible without the use of a sateen weave. A sateen weave will use the same looms as the percale weaves but instead of using the same amount of yarns on the warp and weft they use half the amount on the warp to keep the speed of the loom intact. So for example a 300 thread count sateen weave would have 200 yarns on the warp and 100 yarns on the weft.

        Egyptian cotton

A percale weave would have a matt finish whereas a sateen weave has that slight sheen to it, which looks stunning laid on the bed and what makes that 5 star hotel room looks so inviting, as it’s all about aesthetics and this is where a sateen weave wins out. So what we are trying to say is that it is not the weave that makes the fabric so expensive, it’s the quality of the cotton, they way it is harvested and the care and quality required to keep it from being brittle. It is more organically grown too, no fertilisers and harsh caustic chemicals are used, hand picked for extra attention to detail, this results in a fabric that really does last the length of time, will look and feel just as good in 10 years’ time, wash after wash. So if you have never tried Egyptian cotton before, treat yourself, it’s well worth it.
